web site/ stats assistance

we use to have stats in our old website/ forums. (not sure which)
and i know we would like to again- but i have no idea where to start with something like this. While yes I did the web site- I know nothing about it. I have a program that makes the basic more basic- and that means i can get it after about my 6th attempt.

I would like to know a) is any one familiar with how to set the stats up?
b) is this something done in a web site, or forums?
c) would you be willing to at least help, or preferably do this part?

we use to have a page that you could see how much one played, accuracy, % of head shots, weapons used, who they killed the most and how many times they killed ppl.

I know little so if anyone sees this who knows more- please feel free to jump in.

? is the data base like the back up? or more?

1.It will give complete info on Weapons (cost, price, range, "destruction power" ) all that stuff.
Also it will Contain Some info on game and some info on T's and Ct's .....it'll
be just normal database.
2. About backup am working on it right now. I will make forum to backup all files and date to the
separate hard drive on my computer. So we want loose any data that we have.
3. And there is also a lot of different stuff that am working on right now =)

Yesterday I contacted Administration of Stats server about how can we update
our CSS server with "HLstatsX" and is there any payments to be done....
Here is his response to my Email:

Thank you for contacting us and your interest in HLstatsX.

1. HLstatsX Premium is a service that provides realtime statistics. This service includes everything from the monitoring to the website displaying the statistics. There is no need to install any software on your side. An admin plugin usually is already installed on the gameservers and if not you can download our plugin.

2. HLstatsX Premium is not free, since a lot resources are used a monthly price of 5.00 EUR is not too high. You can order it here: http://www.hlstatsx.com/premium .

HLstatsX, however, is free, but no support is given and the installation needs to be done locally at your servers. Furthermore the downloadable version has a few features missing.
(I think we need to work on this one)

3. There is no official guide available, but the installation process is fairly straight forward for an experienced administrator.

well i don't think $5 is bad- it is just more than i am willing to commit considering the volume of traffic and participation in here.

the free straight forward one sounds like it may be worth the trouble.

Lets see if we get a few to help pay for the server before we go spending a lot of time and more money.

well i had several people lined up to help install it on our server but i kept asking for the ssh access for the website/server and no one seems to know how to get me that info... if i have it i can then install it like i was trying to do a couple of weeks ago

SSH login and password is the same as the gameservers.com one.....

well then bcross you'll have to give me a tutorial again on ssh because i have tried all the ip's for the server and it no worky
